By default, Windows Vista and Windows 7 do not support the old .hlp help file.

But, some old and useful software only provide the .hlp help indeed, how to do?

I found that need to install WinHlp32.exe program in Windows Vista/7 first to open .hlp file.

Some, I came to Microsoft Download Center directly, searched “WinHlp32.exe”, found the related pages, after downloaded and installed Windows6.1-KB917607-x64.msu, I can open .hlp file in Windows 7 properly.

This download is cumbersome (needs to download and run a program that names GenuineCheck.exe to get the validation code first, and must input the code to download Windows6.1-KB917607-x86.msu/Windows6.1-KB917607-x64.msu (Contains winhlp32.exe).

So I provide you with the available WinHlp32.exe installer for Windows 7 directly, in order to avoid trouble.
