exe 电子书在 Windows 7/Vista 中打不开怎么办？

刚装 Windows 7 时，发现有些 exe 格式的电子书（比较旧）打不开，提示如下：
“Runtime error 217 at 0005CA19”
或
“运行时错误：217 在 0005CA19”（手译的，没中文系统，下同）。
当时以为中毒了（因为 exe 文件最容易染病毒），还删掉了一些。
前几天，偶然发现，其实不是病毒，右击 exe 电子书，选择“Run as administrator”（“以系统管理员身份运行”）即可打开。
