Today, I need to read PHP manual (.chm format), when I open it, got the following error:

“Cannot open the file:mk@MSITStore:H:\books\computers\programming\web\php 手册.chm”

Try to open other chm files, some can be opened, and some can not.

I think these files have virus, and deleted one of them, how impetuous!

Occasionally attempt, I found a chm file that names “css manual.chm” can be opened.

Good, I found the reason at this time:
If the chm file name or its containing folders have non-English characters, you will got above error.

Renamed “php 手册.chm” to “php manual.chm”, try it again, it was opened!

Please remember: English Windows cannot open the chm file that has the non-English file name or containing folder.

It seems Microsoft has a fragile chm file format.
