Twenty Ten is the WordPress 3.1 default theme, its effect is good and operation is simple.
But I found an important problem: though archive pages (including categories, search results, tags and monthly archives) display articles as excerpt (reasonable), but this excerpt has not paragraph format, and it is longer, this will cause some visitors (especially non-IT people, because they may not know can click into the article) have not desire to continue reading, and will think you are very irresponsible and random, show the mess articles on the Internet.
So, it must be resolved.
At first, I tried to modify archive.php page according to index.php (it shows well), but did not find a valid place to modify, I had to temporarily give up.
Today I found a plugin (wp-utf8-excerpt) accidentally, although it is prepared for the non-English (double-byte character), but it has a feature which we can solve the problem mentioned above, that is, can display the original paragraph format for each article excerpt on the articles archive page, and you can set the length of excerpt and the allowable HTML tags, of course, do not need to change them generally.
Thus, solved this problem perfectly. As for how to find, install, activate and set wp-utf8-excerpt plugin, it is so easy in WordPress dashboard, no specific illustration here.
